Located in Main St., in the beautiful downtown of Pleasanton, CA, CHIRP - THE LITTLE MAKERS is a contemporary art studio where art making is a celebration and joy for little ones and grown-ups alike. Being strongly inspired by a child’s beautiful imaginative world that emanates endless possibilities, CHIRP attempts to tap into that joyful world with a whimsical approach to provide a fun, enriching, and a happy platform of exploration, expression, and experience through art making. At CHIRP, our prime focus is also to stimulate your little maker’s creative thinking along with strengthening parent-child/family bonding during our open studio or parent-child art sessions. We offer after school art classes, birthday parties, workshops, and camps.
The studio’s activities for a month are usually planned around a unique and an interesting theme that could vary from seasons, animals, artists, events, and so on, using materials that are rotated or provided for that week for the little makers to work on. Your creative maker will paint, draw, collage, sculpt, sew, or tinker to express themselves, while learning a new skill using various art materials ranging from plaster, pompoms, glitter, paint, and paper mache to up-cycled materials like bottle caps, cans, wine corks etc.
EXPLORE . EXPRESS. EXPERIENCE. - is what CHIRP is all about. Being in a beautiful, bright, and an organized studio that is filled with an abundant collection of art materials, an amazing collection of hand-picked picture books for inspiration and along with the imagination they already possess, your little maker will explore the fundamentals of art in a very unique and fun way that they will love and enjoy. Our strongest belief lies in the fact that when we create an environment that nurtures independent thinking and choice making under supervision brings out the best of the little individuals while working together with peers, practicing humility, helping each other, learning to respect, and appreciating other‘s artwork and thereby making friends and connecting better in the society.
Sri is the founder and the Creative Director at CHIRP - THE LITTLE MAKERS. An artist, wife, and mom of an adorable 5-year-old daughter, Sri was born and raised in Bangalore, India. She has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science before getting into one of the reputed fashion design schools to pursue her passion for art and design. Been married and living in the United States for almost a decade now, her very own world of art got a new perspective and breath of fresh air when her daughter Aadhya was born. Their everyday art explorations with a whimsical approach gradually led them to turning their garage into a beautiful studio for art play dates for kids and families in the neighborhood which created an exciting colorful world. During all these years of creative art explorations and experience alongside so many beautiful children, Sri’s background from the design school inspired her to create the fundamentals of art making that when executed with a whimsical approach can lead to happy and creative children. Sri believes that it is more about the experience in the process of art making that nurtures a child’s creativity, and not simply the end product. She encourages every child to express themselves in the form of creative art, that helps them relate and connect to what they see, touch, and feel around them, and thereby raising happy and confident young little individuals.
My boys have the best time each week at art class. I love that they have the opportunity to explore their creativity, get messy, and have fun. I especially love that the mess is not in my home!

This studio is really cute and a great fun place for kids to explore art. The teacher/ artist Ramya's philosophy is to let the kids be themselves and know art. It's an awesome place for kids of all ages to hang out, interact and get your hands dirty and really just get your artsy shoes on and get creative!! Art cannot be learnt or taught but it's an experience and that is the motto of this cool art studio!!

Ms. Ramya has unlimited patience as my kids explore and take apart her studio. She encourages the kids to try everything and go at their own pace. I love hearing her tell the kids it’s okay to get messy! Thank you for this great art studio!
